Paul is about to executed.  He had devoted his life to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and fought for sound teaching in the churches.  But even though he was about to die, he didn't want to leave without a continued representative of the truth.  Timothy needed to carry on Paul's standard for sound teaching and, in so doing, reveals God's will for each of us.

2 Timothy - The Will of God for Me (2 Timothy 1:1-7)

Pastor Dennis starts a series on the Book of 2 Timothy.  Paul is soon going to be executed and he wanted Timothy to continue in sound teaching.  As he instructs Timothy, he reveals what the will of God is for us.

2 Timothy - Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 1:8-18)

Pastor Tim gives the second message on this series on 2 Timothy.  Paul reminds Timothy of his gift, of his power from God and tells him not to be ashamed of the gospel.  He also encourages Timothy to remain true to sound doctrine.

2 Timothy - Being a Disciple of Jesus (2 Timothy 2:1-13)

Pastor Dennis gives the third message on this series on 2 Timothy.  In these verses, we are given three examples of being a disciple - soldier, athlete and farmer.  God gives us a complete understanding of how to be a disciple.

2 Timothy - What We Experience as We Learn to Serve God (2 Timothy 2:14-26)

Pastor Dennis gives the fourth message on this series on 2 Timothy.  In these verses, we are told to avoid being brought into worldly affairs and pursue and be a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy - What We Need to Understand in Difficult Times (2 Timothy 3:1-17)

Pastor Dennis gives the fifth message on this series on 2 Timothy.  Timothy is told that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.  If we are there, how should we live?  Timothy is told to not be discouraged and not to let the world change him.  Instead, by God's grace, go out and change the world.

2 Timothy - "Before Winter" (2 Timothy 4:1-22)

Pastor Dennis's last message for Northern Lake Church.   This is the sixth and final message on this series on 2 Timothy.  Timothy is told the importance of preaching the Word of God.  Why?  In the future, people would not endure sound teaching, but select teachers who speak what they want to hear to satisfy their "itching ears".
