A Series on Bridge Building - NLC Series on Unity

As we continue through this transition period at NLC, we must remain focused and united in the mission to advance the Kingdom of Heaven.  This requires unity.  We cannot be divided or have any divisiveness in the church.

Bridge Builders - (Colossians 3:13-14, Luke 7:40-50)

Forgiveness - The key to forgiving is remembering how much God has forgiven you.  Is it difficult for you to forgive someone who has wronged you a little when God has forgiven you so much?  Realizing God's infinite love and forgiveness can help you love and forgive others.  Let God worry about the wrongs you've suffered.  Don't quench your life in bitter feuding.  Instead, live renewed in love and joy.

Bridge Builders - (Luke 10:25-28, Luke 10:30-37)

Reach Out Your Hands - The story of the Good Samaritan is as inspiring as it is tragic.  The two individuals who pass by the man in need are religious folks who should have been willing to  help.  Instead, the only person to reach out their hand was  someone who would have been unexpected because he was a Samaritan.

Bridge Builders - (Luke 15:11-32)

He Threw a Party - Sometimes the biggest chasm that exists is between family members.  God teaches us about his bridge-building mentality through Jesus' telling of the prodigal son.  A boy  goes off and wastes all his father gives him.  Then, at rock bottom, he decides to come home.  Rather than his father being angry or frustrated, he throws a party.

Bridge Builders - (Ephesians 2:11-18)

Breaking Barriers- The New Testament is rich with conflict between the Jews and Gentiles.  However, there is a way for the two groups to come together because of Christ's death and resurrection.  Jesus is the reason that there can be peace, and He is the reason divided groups can unite.
